Spicy Sausage Rice

1. Boil six sausages and then cut them into slices. Fry them till they are crisp on the outside.

2. Take a pan. Add 1 tbsp oil. Fry 2 tsp of finely chopped garlic. 

3. Add one finely sliced medium sized onion and fry till golden brown.

4. Add one finely sliced capsicum (small). Fry on moderately high flame. 

5. Add fresh home made tomato puree. I also added three Darjeeling chillies to the puree while blending. 

6. Mix well

7. Add 1 tbsp of chilly powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 1/4 tbsp of pulao powder to the pan. Adjust the spice as per your wish, by adding mor chilly powder. Mix well. 


8. Toss in the fried sausages. Add salt accordingly. I wanted to make the rice a little sweet... So I also added a bit of jaggery powder. Mix well.

9. Add boiled Basmati rice (1 cup) and toss the contents of the pan well.

10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
